Pas de sommets imposants ni de vall\u00e9es dramatiques ici \u2014 juste un relief doux qui accueillait autrefois les caravanes, et qui h\u00e9berge d\u00e9sormais voitures, caf\u00e9s et un syst\u00e8me de m\u00e9tro \u00e9tonnamment \u00e9l\u00e9gant. La rivi\u00e8re Chirchiq longe le bord de la ville, discr\u00e8te mais fid\u00e8le, ses eaux aidant les choses \u00e0 pousser l\u00e0 o\u00f9 la steppe pr\u00e9f\u00e9rerait qu\u2019elles ne le fassent pas. Les espaces verts se d\u00e9tachent fortement sur cette carte, et \u00e0 juste titre. De l\u2019\u00e9tendue feuillue du parc national Alisher Navoi au charme tranquille du jardin japonais, ces poches de calme offrent plus que de l\u2019ombre \u2014 elles renferment des histoires, des chants d\u2019oiseaux, et probablement une ou deux parties d\u2019\u00e9checs. On peut presque entendre le bruissement des m\u00fbriers qui nourrissaient autrefois les r\u00eaves de soie le long des routes commerciales. La carte est ponctu\u00e9e de marqueurs d\u2019histoire et d\u2019ambition \u2014 le complexe Khast Imam avec ses manuscrits anciens, la tour de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision s\u2019\u00e9levant comme un point d\u2019exclamation, et les grandes places qui accueillent tout, des statues aux promenades estivales. Les rues portent des noms de po\u00e8tes, de scientifiques et de r\u00e9volutions, donnant \u00e0 la ville enti\u00e8re l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre une biblioth\u00e8que aux couloirs tr\u00e8s larges. Cette carte de Tachkent n\u2019est ni bruyante ni flashy. Elle est stable, d\u00e9taill\u00e9e et discr\u00e8tement confiante \u2014 tout comme la ville elle-m\u00eame. Accrochez-la au mur et vous pourriez entendre des r\u00e9cits de la Route de la Soie chuchot\u00e9s lorsque la pi\u00e8ce se fait silencieuse.
